The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Checks Intensive Kemenpora-KONI Officials Affected by OTT

Suara Id. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) immediately conducted an intensive examination of nine people who were secured in a hand arrest (OTT) operation. Kemenpora officials and KONI officials were arrested by the KPK.

"So far we have secured nine people and then taken to the KPK office for further clarification. The parties brought were from elements of Kemenpora and KONI, both deputy level officials at Kemenpora, PPK, and KONI administrators," said KPK Chair Agus Rahardjo told reporters on Tuesday (12/18/2018) night.

KPK, in accordance with KUHAP, confirmed Agus, had a maximum time of 24 hours to determine the status of the safekeeping parties. The KPK OTT was conducted in connection with the alleged acceptance of Kemenpora officials' money transactions regarding grant funds to KONI.

"The KPK cross-checked and found preliminary evidence in the form of money of around Rp. 300 million and an ATM card which also contained hundreds of millions of rupiah. Allegedly a transaction (kickback) was related to the disbursement of grant funds from Kemenpora to KONI," Agus said.
